Seismic Surveys
Aurora Geosciences provides shallow high resolution 2D reflection and refraction surveys for geotechnical and mineral exploration applications in the North. Our current instrument and equipment configuration allows us to provide orientation surveys (velocity / walkaway) and limited shallow high resolution surveys (0-300m) in support of oil & gas exploration programs.
AGL are specialists in running efficient small survey programs in areas where access and logistical support are difficult.
We currently use a Geometrics Strataview 48 channel seismograph for high resolution reflection surveys, employing explosives, weight drop, shotgun or hammer sources depending upon the environment. Reflection data processing is performed with SIS Vista.
